We are planning to move after next Monday's raid as the people with legendary quests should be finished with what they were doing so won't risk losing progress.

Sjempagne, the current guild leader will initiate transfer to Sylvanas shortly after Monday's raid. You then need to wait for an in-game email inviting you to transfer with details of how to do so. This may take an hour or more to appear depending on how fast Blizz's systems are. You may then initiate transfer through your Battlenet account. Once completed you should automatically be joined to the new guild.

Note that after Sjempagne transfers the guild, SK on Shattered Hand will revert to a level 1 guild and the new SK on Sylvanas will inherit all rep and perks.
Don't /gquit the level 1 SK on Shattered Hand or you won't still be in SK after you transfer and you'll lose your guild rep.

All officers and regular raiders should be planning to move as soon as possible (after they receive the invitation to transfer) to avoid disruption to raids though you may need to do the transfer on Tuesday if the guild transfer takes a while or you've already gone to bed. For other more casual players you may decide to leave the transfer a little longer or instead level a new character on Sylvanas. For newly created characters you'll need to /w an officer for an invite (don't forget to let them know who you are if your name has changed).

Hopefully things will go smoothly enough to allow raids to continue pretty much straight away.

Congratulations to all on a great night of progress when everything came together for us on Majorhom.. erm domo. The succesful attempt finally gave us a good orb placement and a chance to bring him down and we can proudly say that we did it pre-nerf! Next time it should be significantly easier.

Now onto Bethilac, Baleroc & the big dude. Lets reduce him to size!

We were advancing pretty well in Firelands with 4/7 in the first 2 weeks.
Due to lack of a well geared/skilled tank progress has been stale the last week.

Ideally, a warrior tank joins our ranks but we will consider every class tank at the moment.
Do you think you are up to it? Currently guild member or not. 
Let us raid officers know ( Sjempagne, Poiters, Jorbo, Harth) and we will consider it. 
100% Attendance would be appreciated. ( 3 nights )

I though I'd better post a new item about this. I was holding out for a kill shot but it seems we were all too immersed in the moment (or dumbstruck is probably closer to the truth ;-) ) to take one!

Congrats to the kill squad who finally mastered the tactics last week, except Denie who foolishly stood infront of the breathing dragon. I blame the rotating tank :D

A big thankyou to all who signed up and allowed us to build a sucessful group.

It's been several weeks since our first Nef attempt and the draconic douch is still alive. This in part is due to not being able to build a good enough group of regular mains and lately we haven't even been able to attempt it so we're not getting a chance to improve or practice our tactics. This needs to change if we're to kill him!

Part of the problem of late has been lack of sign-ups to the Nef raids but the main problem is that the members of the original kill squad who started on him haven't been all consistently signing up to the raid due to real life getting in the way. Therefore we can't build on any progress we may have made on the previous tries and it's back to square 1 every time.

So the message really is this: To our top main characters: we need some consistent sign-ups. Please keep Nef-nights free if at all possible and lets get a regular group going. And to anyone inexperienced with the fight but think they can handle it skill and gear-wise: sign up but watch videos and tactics before the raid time and prepare yourself as much as possible without actually doing the fight.

Lets have some good attempts next week and kill him asap!

 Flasking and feeding has now got much easier for our raids!

Thanks eveyone for putting in the extra effort to get these done. I know how boring fishing can be. Boy do I know ^^ We now have enough Eel and Guppy to last for ages. We're very lacking in the Lavascale catfish though so if you're not completely fished out you might like to catch and donate a few of these when you get a spare few minutes.

Calling All Fishermen!

We're edging closer to the elusive guild fishing achievement of catching 10,000 fish from pools which will allow the handy raid feast to be made but we need every fisherman's help to get there as quickly as possible! If you've got a spare few minutes then please help out, even if it's just catching a few while waiting for a raid to start. It beats kicking around in Stormwind!
               
It would be even better if you could catch the fish needed for the new feast and deposit a few in the GBank, but any pool-fishing will help immensly. Unfortunatley the Lavascale fish that we will need don't have specific pools but if you've got any of these sitting around then please bung 'em in the GBank too.
               
Remember, only fishing from pools counts towards the achievement so this will require you to move around a bit looking for them.

Also we are very close to the alchemy achievement which will allow us to make cauldrons for raids. If you've got an alchemist that can make flasks then please make as many as you can, whether for yourself, the guild or to sell. It all counts!

You may have noticed the Mumble details on the right hand side. We get 10 free slots on a server with this website so we decided to try it out in a raid situation last night to see if we could replace Vent with this much more integrated and cost-effective service.

After a bit of setting up by those who haven't installed it yet we were all quite impressed at how well it worked and the response times are far better than Vent. Most found the quality to be superior although this degrades if everyone speaks at once - not that you can hear any better on Vent when this happens! The lag-free service is great for quicker reactions in raids and also would be ideal in Arena situations where milliseconds count.

I personally noticed a few pops and scratches but I think this may be down to my set up as no one else reported this. The auto-leveling of peoples volume is also a cool feature but is no substitute for a good setup on their machine to start with.

All in all it looks a highly viable replacement for Vent and we get the bonus of paying for both voice and website services in one for less than half of what we were previously paying.

With this in mind I urge those who haven't done so to install the program (see here: http://mumble.sourceforge.net/) and try it out. You use the same account details as the website to log in and server details are shown on the right side of this page. Once set up you can click on the link on this page to join too.

Vent has another 3 months paid for so we're not dumping it just yet, but we will be using Mumble for some raids to get people used to it and set up properly, making sure it works for everyone. Once Vent runs out we can increase the 10 slots on Mumble to accommodate more groups but at the moment it can support only one 10-man group with no spare capacity.
